Classmate profile rough draft

Frantically searching through his pockets, a ticket was of no avail to boarding his long gone train heading to Busan, Korea. In the following seconds, Edwin had to act quick to decide on the way to get back to his international travel group. He then decided to jump on the first train that was departing to Busan--a 50/50 shot of meeting up with his classmates. This was one of many predicaments that Edwin has encountered while travelling internationally. "I gained an interest in travelling in 2013, whilst visiting my cousin in London, it opened up my wanderlust for traveling," Edwin stated. Edwin holds traveling as well has photography close to him, with each complementing with each other as his hobbies. As Edwin would leave to these travels his mother would also tell him, "Make sure to bring back me a souviner,"fully supporting his trips.

Blog #3 - Comparing media

The main news national news story that seems to be blowing up the most most noticable is the shooting of Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Various forms of media offered coverage of the shooting, victims, and raising strong feedback on gun laws. All days as of now of February 23rd since the day of the shooting have been updating further details and had many guest speakers speak on te issue.  The first story I came across was on a live broadcast talking about gun laws from NPR. This segment was around 15 minutes long and had the guest speaker Jeff Swanson, an American medical sociologist and professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences of Duke University. I was stating that stongerbackround checks would not necessarily help so much as a solution to shootings. Now looking more into same-day coverage under online news, the New York post was the most recent online news source last updated that I came across.  This print news coverage covered on how four sheriff'

Blog #2 - My favorite Writing

All you who sleep tonight, far from the ones you love.   No hand to left or right and emptiness above. Some for two nights or one, and some for all their years.  In this poem, “All You Who Sleep Tonight”, Vikram Seth, sets a resonating tone by using a short and composite but, effective words in his poem. No doubt the subject of sleep is universal to us all, he makes it apparent in his first sentence "All you who sleep tonight". By then following the next line, " Far from the ones you love" he sets the tone of loneliness in a more melancholic light. He adds more of the loneliness by stating, " No hand to left or right and emptiness above" emphasizing the distance from others in all directions. Seth then switches the tone to a full 180 by then writing, " Know that you aren't alone, the whole world shares your tears" implying our loneliness is universal to all as well. But by ending the poem with, " Some for two nights or one,
