Campus rally 4-10

Right outside the Clark building of the SJSU campus, pro-life activists were in protest of SB-320, a California legislation that allows RU-486 abortion pills to be allowed on campus clinics.

Many sign were waved stating "SB-320 deserve Admins Oppositions!" and "#NoCampusAbortions".

Some of the other students and individuals the listened in on the event expressed their opposing opinion on the topic and were more pro-choice, stating it was their constitutional right for their freedom of choice to decide whether they want this pill.

The pro-life activists explained more on what the RU-486 pill does instating that, "the RU-486 is two pills, the first pill starving the fetus, and the 2nd pill expelling the fetus from the body in a bloody way.  I would define that as violent."

One of the pro-life activists stated, "instead the state could use that money towards helping women and students mothers" instead of "ending" a life.

Before leaving the small rally, one of the pro-life activists recommended to "Google embrocation textbooks to see where life actually starts".

I for one agree more with the pro-life activists and their stance, and life is too valuable to be discarded.

Blog #3 - Comparing media

The main news national news story that seems to be blowing up the most most noticable is the shooting of Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Various forms of media offered coverage of the shooting, victims, and raising strong feedback on gun laws. All days as of now of February 23rd since the day of the shooting have been updating further details and had many guest speakers speak on te issue.  The first story I came across was on a live broadcast talking about gun laws from NPR. This segment was around 15 minutes long and had the guest speaker Jeff Swanson, an American medical sociologist and professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences of Duke University. I was stating that stongerbackround checks would not necessarily help so much as a solution to shootings. Classmate profile rough draft

Frantically searching through his pockets, a ticket was of no avail to boarding his long gone train heading to Busan, Korea. In the following seconds, Edwin had to act quick to decide on the way to get back to his international travel group. He then decided to jump on the first train that was departing to Busan--a 50/50 shot of meeting up with his classmates. This was one of many predicaments that Edwin has encountered while travelling internationally. "I gained an interest in travelling in 2013, whilst visiting my cousin in London, it opened up my wanderlust for traveling," Edwin stated. Edwin holds traveling as well has photography close to him, with each complementing with each other as his hobbies. As Edwin would leave to these travels his mother would also tell him, "Make sure to bring back me a souviner,"fully supporting his trips.
